When you visit Cappadocia you feel as if you have landed on the moon, it is other-worldly, I think that’s why it is one of my favorite places . I am drawn to caves and everything that is ancient.
I don’t sign up for tours until I arrive in the country I’m visiting, this saves a lot of money and you get to rest up if you have jet lag. Sometimes on tours you can even make new friends, I met my friend Leeza on a tour in Cappadocia. Of course I want to see the sites but one of the main reasons I travel is to make new friends.
While I was there i also visited the ancient caves of Derinkuyu. Which was so awesome because I saw them on TV and said I have to go there! And I didn’t remember they were in Turkey. And I have always wanted to take a hot air balloon but I wanted it to be some place memorable, unusual and ancient!
